Heading into May taking a look at “the showers” of April and what they may have served to bring forward for you. We are invited to ask ourselves: “What has been cleansed from my life?” This could be anything from a friendship, relationship, job, way of being, old pattern or other circumstance that is no longer serving you. You may have experienced a sudden, unexpected clearing or perhaps it has been building and resurfaced during the powerful full moon in Scorpio that we have just come though. With a renewed sense of clarity, we ponder “What beautiful blooms is it clearing the way for?“

May Energies
Overarching Energy: Two of Pentacles – The overarching energy for May shows a bit of a balancing act with perhaps a lot of plates spinning in the air. Remain grounded and connect within to decide with discernment how you will spend your energy. Also, another invitation to consider what you are ingesting – not only physically but spiritually as well. Perhaps it’s time for a spiritual cleanse? What are you going to order off of the menu – will you opt for what nourishes you or the unhealthy option? You don’t have to eat everything on the menu – you can leave some options on the table.
Beginning of the Month: Nine of Swords & Knight of Swords – The beginning of May could have you a bit in the head over the cleansing energies that have come up. This is that hamster wheel, perseverating thoughts, monkey mind STUFF that may keep you up at night or have you replaying scenarios in your mind. The Knight of Swords speaks to the personality/energy of that which is being cleansed from your life. Know that this is someone/thing that needed to be cut out. To quiet the mind, consider some breathing exercises or guided meditation. Also, journalling may help to get it all out.
Middle of the month: Four of Cups & The Emperor – Here we see that fresh, cleansing energy being offered in the bottle of water that is being missed by the subject who is a bit tuned out – perhaps experiencing some boredom, apathy, forlornness or disillusionment. Yet, there is another way – is there a situation that you could look at from another perspective that would bring greater clarity? Allowing yourself to be rehydrated and refreshed will better position you to approach your goals from a level-headed, measured, logical place with a bit more structure and reason. The Emperor only makes moves that he knows will be successful. Now is the time for you to put into motion the plans you have been making!
End of the month: Ten of Wands & Judgement – By the end of May, it is clear that you are ready to shed the excess and reexamine the overcommitment of your time, energy and resources. FOMO be damned! Carve out some time just for you. This depiction of the Judgement card affirms it all! Archangel Gabriel sounds the call at the open door, bringing forward all of those beautiful blooms – you are ready to walk away from lower-vibrational energy and embrace the new dawn on the horizon!

It’s Not Happening TO You, It’s happening FOR You…
In the month of April, two cards came forward for the Nature Speaks Affirmation cards that I am creating. Today I shared the Cleanse card:
“Look like it’s ’bout to rain, what a shame
I got the Armor-All to shine up the stain”
Yes, I know I am really throwing it back when I mention when Missy Elliott sang The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly), the refrain repeats “Against my window, I-I can’t stand the rain” But the spiritual breadcrumbs were falling this morning as I drove my car in a fog of pollen, the warning for low washer fluid came up on the dash and this song came on…all validating the cleanse vibes I have been feeling. Though we often hope for fair weather, for the rain to come another day, there are those times where a cleansing rain really helps to wash away buildup and debris. While the pollen is certainly a nuisance, we know that after that week or so of itchy eyes and sneezing, the trees and flowers are in full bloom. In that same way, the energy of cleanse comes along not to thwart us but to clear the way, the enrich our spiritual soil and prepare it anew for true growth and greater prosperity.
