I don’t know about you but I can not believe that we are officially in the last quarter of 2020! Each month I like to check in with the cards for some insight into what is on deck for the beginning, middle and end of the month ahead. This is a collective reading done for fun so please feel free to take what resonates with you. Thanks for stopping by!
We begin the month of October finding ourselves immersed in some intense energies with the full Harvest moon in fiery Aries on the 1st. While these energies can leave us feeling all the feels, there are lighter, more airy currents blowing in that are guiding us to a better place. Messages and enlightenment regarding things that may have been bottled up for some time are bubbling up to the surface now to be “let out of the bottle” so to speak. This will usher in new information, new ideas, and new people around you. They will assist you in evaluating the current situation and help improve it. Like the boat depicted in the six of swords, perhaps you have been carrying around heavy thoughts, beliefs, worries or other burdens. Imagine those things being dropped overboard, let them gently float away and lighten the load so that you may move forward with grace and ease. This “letting go” may include difficult relationships, the need to control, the fear of being alone, or anything else that’s causing stress and unhappiness. By releasing them, you free yourself to embrace the supportive energy around you. Allow it to carry you onward and let the healing begin. Calmer waters are ahead, and with all the lessons you’ve learned from past experiences, you’re approaching this period having grown; and you’re so much stronger for it.
Ask yourself, “What have I been dialing into?” If the answer does not make you feel joyful and more buoyant, then you have an opportunity to release that now. Hang up and dial in to a new frequency that leaves you feeling fulfilled. This is especially important during this month when political and emotionally charged conversations are likely to abound so be mindful of the news, social media and circles you are tuning into.
The middle of the month will herald new beginnings and fresh starts. As we know, every new beginning comes from some other beginnings’ end – so you may find yourself at the end of a cycle – completion! As the next cycle begins to stir, do not be afraid to test the waters. Stretch out and spread those wings – that pillar you are taking off from is built from all the good stuff that has remained after releasing and letting go of the excess. You are ready to take practical steps forward.
I am also sensing the need to shield and protect yourself from the harsh energies in the outer world (see aforementioned politically charged STUFF). Remember that within your protective space, YOU are the Creator, YOU are the one who puts the feelers out for what you are looking to manifest. So while there may be many talking heads surrounding you now, turn your gaze to one that aligns you with gratitude. By having an open and grateful heart, you surround yourself with contentment and through the Law of Attraction, you will welcome more of the same. It has me singing to myself “What a Wonderful World“. Stop and notice the graces, large and small…surely there are more than you can count.
“‘I see trees of green
Red roses too
I watch them bloom
For me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world”
– Louis Armstrong
Moving into the end of October there is so much going on energetically – all culminating into the the full Hunter’s Moon in Taurus on the 31st—Halloween! As the second full moon in October, this is a Blue Moon to boot. The earthy, grounded nature of Taurus will be a nice counterpart to the airy energy we see coming in at this time when the veil between this side and the beyond is its thinnest. The double air of the Breathe card and Page of Swords suggests that we take a pause to breathe, go within, meditate and practice patience. With the curiosity of a young child, be present in the moment and trust that In time, all will be well. Allow new ideas to come in and with the lightest of hearts, explore, discover, and find fresh insights into old situations.
“Hope and fear cannot occupy the same space. Invite one to stay.”
– Maya Angelou
As I close out this reading, the Page of Swords feels especially hopeful here as we prepare to step into November. May we as the Collective breakthrough the old programming and make room for new thoughts and view points. I came upon a quote on a friends’ page tonight that really resonated for these times – “Hope and fear cannot occupy the same space. Invite one to stay.” ~Maya Angelou
Til next time, many blessings and peace be with you.
