Picture it: the illuminating full moon in Aquarius, August 3, 2020. Per my usual process each new and full moon cycle, I had selected the color healing sprays and crystals to set the tone for an oracle card reading and set out my moon decks. At the full moon the focus is on releasing, letting go, forgiveness and expressing gratitude. This full moon phase was no different, there were plenty of things to let go of. In this particular reading, the messages being tuned into were for the Collective which of course can show up in each of our lives in many and varied ways. The following is what showed up in this reading and how it has manifested in my life to culminate into my being here writing this blog!
Full Moon three-card spread
- What do I need to release/forgive/what is falling away this full moon?
- What is the illuminated Full Moon showing me?
- What comes next?
Decks used at right: Moonology/Yasmin Boland, Queen of the Moon Oracle/Stacey DeMarco
Let it go! Let it go!
The Full Moon in Aquarius presented the opportunity to let go of our resistance. While the idea of surrendering and letting go may leave us feeling vulnerable and exposed, we can rest assured that we are supported and held. We must remember that life goes in cycles and we are moving into a new one now. If you have been feeling stuck, you can break through that stagnancy by taking action. While stepping out of your comfort zone can feel daunting and require a great deal of courage, you can start by making a choice. Simply make the choice to GROW!
Be courageous…you will blossom!
“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
-Anais Nin
Once we make the choice to grow, we want to create the ideal circumstances for this growth to take place. This may involve clearing out the perimeter around us and preparing it for this new cycle. Take a look at your boundaries and determine what you need and what may no longer be needed. This is best done through a process of witnessing and discerning quite simply, what is healthy and right for you. You can choose more consciously, simply and specifically for your own mind, body and spirit. Sounds easy enough, right? But of course we also know that in order to grow, there will be growing pains – how can we prepare for that?
“Bloom where you are planted.”
Have the courage to plant the seeds, break out of an old cycle and move in a new direction. Like the willow tree, which finds itself along the shore in sandy and shifting soil, it finds a way to firmly root in and yet it remains flexible enough to bend and sway with the winds of change. In this same way, you can choose to bloom where you are planted. We don’t always get to choose our circumstances, things may not have gone the way we planned or how we may have thought. If you find yourself in that place, there is one thing you can do. You can decide right then and there “I am going to bloom wherever I am planted.” Here in lies the greater opportunity for release – the letting go of expectations.
Let go of expectations and commit to bloom where you are planted. Witness and discern so that only what nurtures you is acceptable. This process ensures you will establish an intricate root base–a network of support that will hold and sustain you. Trust in your root system so that even in the lesser cycles of life we can call on our roots of resiliency to not only survive, but thrive! Be courageous…you will blossom!
Two days after this reading I created the @Grow_in_the_Flow page on Instagram and two moons later I am writing to you in this blog post. I expect there will be much more growth over many moons to come…
